Circus Party
Crystal always throws great parties. But this time she really outdid herself. The party last night was a blast.
She went all out with the whole circus-theme. There was a dunk tank, a bouncy castle, cotton candy and popcorn machines, karaoke, a pinata and copious amounts of beer.
I ended up going dressed as White Trash (a la Britney Spears) with Alec as my White Trash husband. It was funny as hell, and I spent the night walking around in a satin green halter with tiny silver shorts. (Krystel Ho I have you to thank for those shorts!!!!)
But the highlight of the evening was when Angela got into the dunk tank wearing a Little Bo-Peep dress. She sat there for a while as people took pot shots at the machine trying to get her dunked. With some effort, she finally went sputtering into the water. Crystal somehow got some guy to get into the tank NAKED.. and we all worked to get him dunked too. Good fun.
Then, me, Alec, Laura and Steph went bouncing the the Bouncy Castle. That was awesome because those stupid castles normally come with an age limit, which explains why I haven't been in one in a good ten years. So it was nice to revert back to our childhoods and just bounce around like a bunch of psychoes.
All you can eat cotton candy and a steady supply of beer got me into a nice buzzed mood. But Crystal had more stuff in store. One girl named Cassie stood in the street for a while swinging around balls of fire on the end of a couple of ropes! It was amazing! She was a circus act all on her own!
Finally we ended the night by listening to a very drunk and very happy Angela bellowing into the mic trying to 'sing along' with the karaoke track. That was entertaining in itself.
Me, Alec and Jenn stayed even after everyone had left and we just hung out with Crystal and Angela till 2am. Then I came home and crashed into bed, my 21hour marathon day finally over.
